andy hunter quartet

 

the andy hunter quartet is made up of an internationally-based mix of jazz musicians, with its members residing in berlin, shanghai, and new york city. their CD, the slow road to shanghai, was released in china in august, 2005. outside of china, it can be purchased through this website (please see below).

their music reflects a broad international spectrum, with influences drawn from from salsa, brazilian music, indian classical music, chinese and western popular music, and of course, american jazz. andy hunter on trombone, is joined by kevin mchugh on piano, e.j. parker on bass, and chris trzcinski on drums. (one track on the album also features coco zhao on vocals)
